A Play in Two Parts
Me: The world sure is crazy right now.
You: It’s always crazy, you can always die.
Me: But if I do, then nobody will hear what I have to say.
You: They’ve been listening all along. It’s been recorded.
**
You: The sun’s coming up today.
Me: Doesn’t it come up every day?
You: That doesn’t make it any less beautiful.
A rusted out truck drives by us, we are on the corner, I smell diesel exhaust and think you do, too.
Me: We’re finally where we need to be. Jomana. Jomana is a key concept as you move through the galaxy. Have somebody teach you the origin and a days long definition of what it is.
You: That’s what they’ve been saying.
Me: Who?
You: Everybody.
Me. Huh. I hadn’t heard.
